PRLAC Championship Day will take place on Saturday 25th March, 2023 at Edwardes Lake Park, Reservoir.

This season, we are returning to the old format of Championship Day where athletes choose their own events (up to four events) to compete in over the day (four events exclude the PRLAC Gift). Medals will be awarded to the athletes that place in the top three with ribbons being awarded for other athletes in the event. Depending on the number of nominations of events, we may combine age groups together to get the event conducted as smoothly/quicker as possible however their age group/gender will still be reflected in individual results for medals and ribbons.

Our Championship Day will also include the 2022/23 AGM at the commencement of the day and the PRLAC Gift. Please understand that we are expecting Championship Day to go longer than a usual Competition Day and last season’s Championship Day as we have more members this season, we will be conducting medal presentations throughout the day, and the PRLAC Gift will be taking place as well. We thank you in advance for your understanding and to help us run a smooth Championship Day, we will need all hands on deck to fill roles. An event like Championship Day doesn’t just happen overnight, a lot of hard work and preparation will go into the day by the Committee and volunteers on the day. All Parents/Guardians will be expected to officiate or assist on the Day. A roster for Championship Day will be published on Team App in the coming days. We cannot stress this enough, we really need your willingness to help and assist for the day to run smoothly.

All athletes are required to wear full uniform (includes Coles patch above LAVIC logo and Commonwealth Bank name tag).

Please note the attendance requirement: Athletes who have not attended a minimum of 50% of competition days since registering will not be eligible to compete in Championship Day.

Please submit your event nominations through the online form or physical forms (available at the Canteen) by no later than Saturday 18th March, 2023. Any athlete who meets the minimum attendance requirement and does not place their nominations in by the cut off date will have their events automatically selected by the PRLAC Committee.
