Thank you - 100 members

1 Nov by Lynton Martin

In the lead in to the new season, the Committee set a membership target of 100 athletes and it is our great pleasure to announce that we have achieved this fantastic 100 athlete milestone for the 2025/26 season. What a terrific effort - well done all!

This is an incredible milestone for our small centre and is one that deserves to be recognised and celebrated. It wasn't too long ago in 2020 when the centre was very close to folding. We had just returned with one returning athlete and three people on the Committee. Our numbers have grown each season to now reach the century. Our centre's history has included many ups and downs but today is a day to feel incredible proud - we most certainly are.

Reaching this milestone does not just happen overnight and not without a mountain of hard work and support from everyone involved with PRLAC.

Firstly to our amazing Little Athletics. Each of you inspire us week in, week out with your determination, passion and the way you go about your Little Aths - always competing with a smile on your face. Best of all you all strive for YOUR personal best and it is great to see the smiles on your faces when you achieve a PB.

We also need to thank all of our wonderful families and parents. Thank you for choosing PRLAC. Without your support and encouragement of our athletes, we would not be in the position that we are in today. You have all helped to share the positive messages of our PRLAC community around the burbs and this has helped to grow and develop our Little Aths community. You are always incredibly supportive each week helping us to deliver our weekly program and we thank you for your enthusiasm and wider support.

It is also important to thank LAVIC and NMR who have always been there to provide support to our centre.

Finally, none of this would be possible without the dedication and hard work of our Committee. Not just this season but across previous seasons who have built the foundation for our centre to evolve, grow and thrive. We are all volunteers who work towards our shared vision, and I am proud of what we have been able to achieve as we promote connection, inclusion and enjoyment through participation in sport.
